For home birth, we offer a discounted rate ranging from $4500-$6500 based on your family income. This fee includes all of your prenatal and postpartum care, labor and birth, newborn care, basic birth supplies, birth pool, and covers the cost of a birth assistant or second midwife.

We do bill insurance after the birth for both mom and baby (unfortunately, no TriCare or Medicaid at this time). Details can be discussed more at your consult!

Payment plans are offered and all types of payment are accepted including HSA and health sharing programs.

We typically sees clients prenatally every 4 weeks until 36 weeks, then bi-weekly until 40 weeks, and then weekly until baby arrives. We do 1 home visit between 34-36 weeks.

During birth, the midwife will come with 1 or 2 trained birth assistants or a second midwife who will help with set up, clean up, assisting her, and charting.

After baby arrives, the team stays for 2-3 hours postpartum to ensure that mom and baby are doing well, breastfeeding has been established, and to clean up!

The midwife will return between 24-48 hours for your first postpartum visit where the standard newborn screenings are done and the birth certificate paperwork completed. Additional postpartum visits are offered at 1 week, 3 weeks, and 6 weeks, according to each family’s need.

Yes! Mandy is trained and equipped to handle emergencies such as hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, neonatal resuscitation, and more. She can suture 1st-2nd degree tears.

She carefully monitors mom and baby and knows when it is appropriate to seek more medical care for complications that could arise during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum.

Mandy maintains current CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications and attends regular trainings to ensure that she is up-to-date on the most evidence-based practices for handling emergencies or complications.

Mandy accepts low-risk, healthy clients who desire to birth at home. This includes VBACs and first time moms. Breech and twin pregnancies are also accepted on a case-by-case basis.

She is not able to attend births in the hospital as a nurse midwife, but can accompany clients in a supportive role should they need to transfer to the hospital.

Our number #1 priority is to keep you and your baby safe and to support you every step of the way.

Mandy does a home visit with every client between 34-36 weeks and a hospital transfer plan is discussed at this time, just in case the need arises. She is trained to assess and know when a client may risk out of care during pregnancy or birth and will discuss those things with you during prenatal visits.

She does her best to accompany clients in a supportive role if they have to transfer to the hospital and resumes postpartum care once they return home.

Absolutely! We respect and support everyone’s choice to birth in the setting that they feel most comfortable.

We offer prenatal and postpartum care with no birth support for those who want collaborative care with their OB or hospital.
